This isn't supposed to be offensive to anyone, especially anyone from actual Carolina (And yeah, I know there's no WEST Carolina). I just couldn't believe how dense that Miss Teen South Carolina girl was.

BioShock is the "genetically enhanced" first person shooter that lets you do things never before possible in the genre: turn everything into a weapon, biologically mod your body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade your weapons and craft new ammo variants, and experiment with different battle techniques in an incredible and unique underwater city.
You are a cast-away in Rapture, an underwater Utopia torn apart by civil war. Caught between powerful forces, and hunted down by genetically modified “splicers” and deadly security systems, you have to come to grips with a deadly, mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters. No encounter ever plays out the same, and no two gamers will play the game the same way.
BioShock is loaded with some of greatest, most modifiable weapons to ever blast their way into a shooter. But guns alone won’t be enough to defeat the devious AIs of Rapture. There are literally hundreds of other strategies players can use to take out his enemies. Here’s just a few things you can do a foe:
· Catch his Grenades in Mid Air and Toss Them Back at Him
· Freeze Him Solid and Shatter Him with Smack of your Wrench
· Lead him and his comrades to water and Zap them all with 1000 Volts
· Burn Him Up With Home-Made Molotov Cocktails
· Booby Trap Healing Machines and Watch Them Blow up IN his Face
· Brainwash Him to Become Your Personal BodyGuard
· Invent your own Ammo Types to Prey on his Vulnerabilities
· Turn his own Security System Against Him
· Light Him on Fire and Launch Heat Seeking Missiles At him
· Torment Him with Plagues of Insects
· Take Research Photos of Him to Learn his Weaknesses
· Send Him Flying into the Ceiling to Knock him Senseless
No encounter ever plays out the same way twice. No two gamers will ever play BioShock the same way.

This one stroke just on the other side of the street. Quite a nice bang it had. Luckily the tree didn't catch fire.

Take one down and pass it around, 98 bottles of beer on the wall.

Over the past twenty-four hours, Van Halen fans have been mulling over the latest development in the band’s reunion saga: A poster on a music-industry message board pointed out that in the wake of the band’s tour announcement, the Van Halens seemed to have airbrushed original bassist Michael Anthony out of older album covers on their official Web site and replaced him with their newest member: Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang. The swap was evident on the lower right of the cover of the band’s self-titled debut (which came out thirteen years before Wolfgang was born), and the group shot for Women and Children First had been removed entirely.
A visit to the tour section of Van Halen’s site today reveals that the album covers in question have been replaced with the original artwork. However, another message board commenter pointed out there were no images of David Lee Roth in 2004’s career-spanning The Best of Both Worlds, as the frontman and Eddie Van Halen were on the outs during that time. (The pair made a point of embracing at Monday’s reunion tour press conference to demonstrate all is well). As of now, the band hasn’t issued any statements regarding the artwork incident.

Tribute bands and the quest to be as good as the real thing
By Erica Febré efebre@hippopress.com
For the members of most tribute bands, the desire to be Van Halen, The Ramones or U2 started with a live performance.
Several band members remember being wowed by their idols and then saddened when those bands either stopped performing live or stopped performing in the area.
“When we started it, Van Halen wasn’t doing anything and there weren’t a lot of Van Halen tributes playing any Sammy Hagar material,” said Zander Carlson with Balance, a Van Halen tribute band. “I also wanted to build an Eddie Van Halen guitar and figured if I built the guitar then we had to play it too.”
“We didn’t start this to be the next Ramones. It was almost out of respect, like this is something that we should do to keep it alive for the people that love it just as much as we do,” said Bobby Ramoniac with The Ramoniacs, a Ramones tribute.
“Some of us here still remember The Ramones. It’s a place for the Ramones fans to get back together. But we’re also doing it for the people that missed what we were fortunate enough to see,” Bobby said.

Virtual Space Devices, Inc. has developed omni-directional treadmill (ODT) technology over the last 10 years, working primarily with the US Army. Combining the infinite plane of the ODT with an immersive virtual reality system permits an immersant to walk or run freely through the digital landscape. Navigation is transparent and natural. Immersion is total.
The ODT surface is flat and continuous. It is not a bowl or made of discrete plates. The infinite surface is motion-slaved to the user’s motion with tight control and no inertial residue. Belts that comprise the surface are substantially similar to those used in conventional treadmills.

Want to make some extra money? by ZDNet's Garett Rogers -- Google is looking to pay out some very decent commissions to Americans that become “Google Business Referral Representatives”. How much are they looking to spend? Well, up to $10 dollars for each business identified. It’s not hard work either — pull up to a business, take some pictures, and write down some [...]

There was a boy who like me he loved The Beatles and The Rolling Stones
He always toured the world to sing the pretty things of America
He was not beautiful but exactly thus he had a thousand girls
If he sang “Help” and “Ticket to Ride” or “Lady Jane” or “Yesterday”
He sang alive to the freedom, but a letter without waiting
Of his guitar it separated it, he is called in America.
Stop! With Rolling Stones, stop! with Beatles songs.
Errand was to Vietnam, to fight the Vietcongs.
Ta tá ra ta tá…
He was a boy who like me loved the Beatles and the Rolling Stones
He toured the world but it finished, making the war in Vietnam
Long hair do not use more, it does not touch its guitar and yes
An instrument that always gives to the same note ra-tá-tá-tá
It does not have friends, it does not see girls, people deceased only fall to the soil
To its country it will not come back, therefore he is died in Vietnam.
Stop! With Rolling Stones, stop! with Beatles songs
In the chest a heart does not have, but two medals yes.
Ta tá-ra ta tá…
Ra-tá-tá-tá tá-t
