Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Okay, I said that I wasn’t going to see this movie. But I was bored, so I went and saw it anyway.

It turned out to not be as bad as I thought it would be. Not the best Star Wars movie, but better than The Star Wars Holiday Special.

I liked the antics of the stupid battle droids. I liked the new character, Ahsoka Tano. She was a good sidekick to Anakin Skywalker. And Jabba's son did not bother me. But, two hours to rescue the kid? This would have been better as a one hour TV episode.

Also, I really don't care what Anakin is up to, since we know he turns into Darth Vader. How about some movies about the events that happen after Return of the Jedi?

So, save your money. Don’t bother with this movie.

The Next Numa Numa Video?

This video gets my vote for the next Numa Numa song. The song is "Bahama" by the Iceland singer Ingó og Veðurguðirnir. Here is Kristrún lip singing and Gagga dancing to the song. They are from Iceland. It's a catchy song.

Death Race

I saw the Death Race movie the other day.

Will you like the movie?

- Did you see the original movie, Death Race 2000?

- Did you like the main character, David Carradine, in Death Race 2000?

- Did you like Tyrese Gibson's character in 2 Fast 2 Furious?

- Did you like Joan Allen’s character in The Borne Supremacy?

- Did you like Jason Statham in the Transporter movies?

- Do you like movies of car races, and gun battles?

Then you will like this movie. It has all of that in it. And explosions, too.

The plot is basic. In the future, they have a death race in a prison. If you survive, and win, five races, you win your freedom. The race is televised in the Internet for profit, so as you can guess, people die in the race off of the time.

Hence, they need a new Frankenstein when the old one (voiced by David Carradine) is killed in a race at the beginning of the film. So they set up as Jensen Ames (Jason Statham), a down on his luck former race car driver, for murder, and get him transferred to the prison. He is told to race as the Frankenstein if he ever wants to see his little girl again.

It’s not a very serious movie, but neither was the original movie, Death Race 2000. It’s a fun movie to watch.

Soulcalibur Legends

I picked up Soulcalibur Legends for the Wii the other day. It's okay, but not as good as the rest of the series. But, at least I get to swing the Wii Controller around to fight! I hope that they release Soulcalibur IV for the Wii later this year.

A "Star Wars" Movie I Don’t Want to See

I usually look forward to Science Fiction movie sequels, even if they get bad reviews. But after what George Lucas has done the Star Wars in the past, I am listening to the bad reviews this time around, and I think I will skip watching “Clone Wars.”

I never liked the original movie “Star Wars” renamed “Episode IV - A New Hope;” why not call it episode 1 of the original trilogy? And why even make the prequel trilogy? Once we were given the characters in the first three movies, I wanted to see more movies about them.

I liked the Timothy Zahn books in the Thrawn trilogy and the subsequent Star Wars books. Why doesn’t George Lucas make new movies about what happens after the original trilogy? I would go see those movies.

Segway, Meet the Winglet

A slide show I made using panda pics and set to Gary Jules' song Mad World.Ok, I never expected this many views, but to add some info about the video...I was dating a girl around the time I made the video, we lived a couple hours apart and she would always joke around and say that she was a sad panda whenever I had to leave to go back home.She also loved to play the piano, and once played this song. So I took the two and made the video.

The best place to visit the pandas is definitely ChengDu. Chengdu is describe as the City of Pandas. We visited where it has the biggest panda research center and you really get to see the pandas up close. The weather was pretty cooling, so the pandas were out playing and lazying around. Enjoy!
