ChapStick USB Drive

By Andrew and Sarah
Andrew machined a tube of ChapStick to fit a USB drive in it.

By sassylittlepunkin
I don’t know if I would use ChapStick, though. I would use a more colorful brand. I don’t want to confuse a USB drive with a real tube of ChapStick, and throw it out by mistake.

By Yuuma Kamibata
But I’m not going to try this myself. I would probably just break my USB drive.

If you want to try it, there is more information at: http://ahcmachinist.blogspot.com.

Future Shock

Here is how I remember being taught about it school in the seventies:

From the beginning of time to 0 AD, the amount of information in the world doubled. It doubled again from 0 AD to 1900, from 1900 to 1950, from 1950 to 1970, and from 1970 to 1975.

By the way, it is hard to figure out who first said this, or how they figured it out.

Also in the seventies, I saw the movie “Future Shock.” The basic premise was that changes in society were happening too fast for people to keep up with.

The beginning of the movie starts out with a 70’s couple walking in the background, to 70’s SF music. As they get closer, the couple is both wearing a mask. Oh no! It must be a B science fiction movie. Well no, it’s supposed to be documentary. At least, that’s what I thought when I saw it in school back then.

Watching the movie now, it is kind of funny. Uh oh…so many changes to society! How will we keep up with everything? Well, the movie is a little over the top; most of society is getting by just fine.

To read more about Future Shock, go to: wikipedia.org.

You can read a review of the movie here: oddculture.com.

And, if you have 43 minutes to kill, here is the movie!

Funny Kittens

I couldn't think of anything else to post today, so how about some more kittens?

Kitten and His Box

From: auroral

For those of you who think's the kitten is stuck it might do your heart some good to see my other vid of him GETTING OUT. It's just a simple thin cardboard box. So thin that they eventually rip it apart. (look at my other vid.) The kittens want to get in because they wanted to play with the tissue inside.... very expensive lab equipment, I wouldn't put them in there on purpose.Kitties playing around. Music Called "Sister Jack" by Spoon. The kitten in the background wants to get back in the box soooo bad. But this kitten took over. :p

Silly Kittens

From: Gingersdk

See the kittens here: http://gingers.dk/killingerne.htm

My silly kittens are playing with the toiletpaper. I love this movie of them. Sad they are all grown up now :o

Funny Weather People

The people who tell us the weather reports usually do so in an official way. But, not always.

Funny Weather

It can be hard to keep your cool while giving the news. I don’t know German, but she seems to be laughing over when the weather map changed to the other commentator for a split second.

Weatherman With Green Tie on Green Screen

How do you do the weather reports on TV? You use a
blue or green screen to mix two images together. (The weather person, and the weather images.) If you wear a green tie with a green screen, then you get funny results.

3. And knows it.

Therefore, I didn’t sing. But some of my friends did. Here is a sampling of some of the songs that people chose to sing.
