What Have You Done This Summer?

Wow. What have I done this summer? Worked at lot. I still have a month to go; I’d better get busy.

Introvert or Extrovert?

It’s summer, and you decide to have a barbeque. Who of your friends should you invite? You don’t want to bother inviting people who will not show up anyhow, but how can you tell to you to invite? You could invite the friends of yours that are extroverts, and let the introverts stay home.

Wikipedia says that an introvert is one who tends “to be low-key, deliberate, and relatively less engaged in social situations. They often take pleasure in solitary activities such as reading, writing, drawing, watching movies, and using computers.” In other words, people like this:

I suggest that you invite the extroverts to your barbeque, and let your intovert friends read a good book.

Halloween in July

“Christmas in July” is a common advertising theme, but it is overdone. Christmas selling comes earlier and earlier each year. In August, Costco will start selling Christmas decorations. So, how about Halloween?

Why Halloween in July?

If you like to hang out in the cemetery at night, and most cemeteries are open until dusk, you can stay later without getting kicked out. If you do decide to go the cemetery after dark, at least it is warmer at night in the summer.

You can buy candy for the trick-or-treaters. But, since you will not get any in the summer, more candy for you!

You can sit in the basement of your house, and watch Halloween movies. It will be cool down there, and it is easy to find Halloween movies in the summer to rent. Besides, it is too hot to be outside anyway.
