Soulcalibur Legends

I picked up Soulcalibur Legends for the Wii the other day. It's okay, but not as good as the rest of the series. But, at least I get to swing the Wii Controller around to fight! I hope that they release Soulcalibur IV for the Wii later this year.

I found a walkthrough for the game. If I get stuck, I will use it.

Soulcalibur Legends on the Nintendo Wii: Walkthrough, Part 1

This edition of the Soulcalibur Legends walkthrough will focus on getting you through the beginning aspects of the game. After a few minutes of play time, you will soon defeat your first boss and be that much closer to the end.

Another Way to Use Your Wii Remote Controller

markinraleigh has attached his Wii Mote to a spring horse. I would try this myself, but I would probably hurt myself trying to play the Wii while on a spring horse! :)

I modified a glovepie script to tweak the amount that we would have to lean side to side or forward/back. I will post the script in next day or so for those who have requested it.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of this video, I have created the following site to answer questions or dispel myths, please go to www.wiimotehorse.tumblr.com

One of my boys playing need for speed using a spring horse, with a wii mote attached to it, as a controller.

Wii Guitar Hero Hack

With a little expertise, you can play your Wii Guitar Hero Guitar like a real guitar, sort of.

From: jbreckman

I hacked my Wii Guitar Hero Guitar so it can actually be played like an instrument, with up to 45 different pitches at my disposal.

I play (with one or two minor mistakes) the verse, chorus and solo to "Smells Like Teen Spirit", by Nirvana, to demonstrate this.

Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote

Complicated title, but pretty cool. Using your WiiRemote in interesting ways.

From: jcl5m

Using the infrared camera in the Wii remote and a head mounted sensor bar (two IR LEDs), you can accurately track the location of your head and render view dependent images on the screen. This effectively transforms your display into a portal to a virtual environment. The display properly reacts to head and body movement as if it were a real window creating a realistic illusion of depth and space. By Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. Low-Cost Multi-touch Whiteboard using the Wiimote

From: jcl5m

Using infrared (IR) light pens and the Wii Remote, it is possible to create very low-cost multi-point interactive whiteboards and multi-point tablet displays. Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. The software can be downloaded at http://johnnylee.net/

Tracking fingers with the Wii Remote

From: jcl5m

Using an IR led array and some reflective tape, you can track fingers in thin air using the Wii Remote by Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. The grid software is a custom program written using a C# wiimote library and DirectX. More information about the grid software can be found at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~johnny/project...

Wii Review: Sonic and the Secret Rings

Sonic is now out for the Wii! It looks like fun.

firehawk reviews the game. "It's good fun and the best 3-D game in the Sonic series so far, but the game is still flawed."

Use the Wiimote with the Xbox 360

OBsIV has interfaced his Nintendo Wii Remote with his Xbox 360. It’s not a project for the faint of heart, however. But it is really cool.

Wii Fit

At E3 2007, Nintendo held a press conference to give a first look to a new controller for the Wii, a pad tentatively called the "Wii Fit." The demonstration looks cool. I like having ways to exercise with the Wii; playing games with the Wii makes exercise less boring!

iPhone Dissassembly

In the continuation of the series about people who have more money than me, phonedifferent takes apart an iPhone to see what is inside.

Not to be left out, semiconductorDOTcom takes apart the Wii.

And with the all of the problems with the Xbox 360 lately, you will probably need to know how to take that apart, too. :) This is from CoBrA9891.

More Wii Fun

I've tried Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, and am just not getting into it. After seeing this video of Red Steel swordplay tips and tricks, I think I will give that game a try.
