Rendezvous With Rama Short Film

The sequels were not as good, but I loved Arthur C. Clark's novel Rendezvous With Rama.

Aaron Ross directed and animated this short film based on the novel. It won Best Animation, Marin County Film Festival, 2003, and Best Animation, NYU First Run Film Festival, 2003.

Kick Ass: A Tale of Two Trailers

I like action movies, and super hero movies. So this movie sounds pretty cool.

But it looks even cooler with this trailer, since I also like over-the-top, that would-never-happen, gun battles.

So who knows what the movie will really be like? We will see.

Ride a Bicycle on a Tree

From: inspiredbicycles

Filmed over the period of a few months in and around Edinburgh by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill (more info at www.dannymacaskill.com) features probably the best collection of street/street trials riding ever seen. There's some huge riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a trials bike.

Credit to Band of Horses for their epic song 'The Funeral.' You can find out more about the band and their music at www.bandofhorses.com or you can buy the featured song from itunes here: www.itunes.apple.com

The Italian singer Adriano Celentano sings a song with fake words to sound like English. More information on this (and where I found it at) is here: www.bakadesuyo.com

Toberoni translated Adriano Celentano's gibberish lyrics into comprehensible English.

I found out more information on the song. It is titled "Prisencolinensinainciusol", and was released in 1972. More information on the song is found at Wikipedia.

Holiday Shopping

Chistmas is around the corner, so people are doing their holiday shopping.

Some shoppers will have problems getting to the stores, with the all of the snow and ice on the roads.

When they get to the stores, there will be the normal holiday craziness.

Some shoppers will pationately wait in line for the latest game.

Others, not being in the Christmas spririt, will try to buy all of the new toys for themself. But being gready will not help them.

Some will spend some time just looking at the Christmas window displays.

And a lucky few might find love while shopping. Who knows who you will meet on the elevator?

And then the happy shoppers will drive home again.

Some Random Christmas Songs

There's lots of Christmas music to listen to this time of the year. It's on the radio, it plays in the mall. Here's more of the same. But some of these you probably won't hear this year.

XMAS AT KMART - Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band

Nowadays, it would probably be called "XMAS at Wallmart".

Believe - Josh Groban

From The Holiday Express, a great Christmas movie.

Sneg Idot (It Snows) - Glukoza Nostra

Not a Christmas song, per se. But it's snowing!

Last Christmas - Wham!

We Need a Little Christmas - Percy Faith

Here's the bloopers for the video.

I'll Be Home For Christmas - Twisted Sister
