Foot Tapping Music

I’m trying to wake up this morning. I still can’t get going after two cups of coffee. So maybe some foot tapping music can do the trick.

That worked! Now I can go and do great things today.

Does this blog post count? :)

Monday

Monday. Not the best day of the week. It is the start of the work week for most. And if people start their work week on a different day, they will call it their “Monday.” Mondays are especially bad, if they are after a long weekend. Who wants to go back to work?

Some people really don’t like Mondays.

And if it’s raining also, that makes it all the worse.

Babies are Cute

Babies are cute, and can be funny at times. Especially when you do not have to take care of them yourself!

That's a Lot of Fraks

Most of us know the "F word." The word not used in polite society, but so useful. Battlestar Galatica uses a different word, but for the same meaning: "frak." Since this is not a bad word in English, they can use it as much as they want on the show. And they do!

Karaoke Night

Once again, old friends were in town, and we went out to a Karaoke place. We did this last year, too. I still don’t sing very well, so I did not bother trying to.

Here are some of the songs that were sang.

One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer? More than I would want to have for just one drink. I was on call that night, so I didn’t drink anything. (I didn’t want to try to fix program problems while drunk, let alone drive home if I got a call.) Some of the crazy friends of mine were drinking Red Bull mixed drinks, though.

When this song was sang, none of us recognized it. But from the words, it looked like an old song. I asked the woman who sang it (Missy was her hame), and she said it was a Kinks song. She did a good job singing it. In fact, she sounded similar to the original.

Billy Joel - Glass Houses

This is a great album. I got it as a gift when I was in college. The first song is a classic; you still hear it on the radio from time to time.

This one has a good beat to it.

Don't ask me why, either.

So, what is Rock 'n Roll? I guess whatever you want it to be.

My favorite song on the album. Nothing matters to him; he would do anything for the girl he loves.

Moby

I'm in the mood for listening to some Moby today. These songs are off his CD "Hotel."
