In the The Fifth Element (1997), the red hair woman (Leeloo) is a bio-engineered "perfect being”, sent the save the world. The good guy, Bruce Willis is a taxicab driver who helps Leeloo. The aliens, the Mangalores, are the bad guys.

In Mars Attacks (1996), the Martians attack us, of course. The good guys are everyone, except the Martians. The movie is a spoof of the old Sci Fi B-movies.

Blade Runner

Blade Runner (1982) is based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick. Harrison Ford is a Blade Runner. He terminates bio-engineered humans called "Replicants", which are illegal on Earth. Rachael is a replicant, but does not know it.

2001: A Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey (1968). About an expedition to Jupiter after finding an alien artifact on the Moon. The robot is named HAL, the main astronaut is Dave Bowman. HAL goes insane, and kills all of the astronauts except for Dave, who then disconnects HAL.

Independence Day (1996) is another movie about aliens attacking us. They just can’t leave us alone.

I, Robot (2004). It’s the future, and we have robots aplenty. Will Smith stars. He sure is in a lot of SF movies.

Stargate (1994). Scientists discover an ancient stargate to another world. The military goes along for the ride. Which is good, since there are aliens on the other side of the stargate to fight.

(T)Raumschiff Surprise - Periode 1

Traumschiff Surprise (2004). A German movie that spoofs Star Trek and Star Wars, among other things. The “Empire” (Mars) is attacking “Star Trek” (Earth). Sort of. Earth looks like Coruscant from Star Wars.
