Many of the racers at the soapbox derby were in character with their rides. The seriously fast ones all had straight faces and were focused on speed. The slower racers with the art cars were all laughing and joking at the starting line. Now, these guys, halfway down the hill, had expressions of childish fun that seemed to match their ride perfectly. You just know they had Big Wheels as kids… and today they were living that childhood dream to be the fastest Big Wheeler on the block.
